The Truveo Video Search XML API provides useful functionality for building a wide variety of video search and video browsing applications.
The methods supported by this API are divided into two categories, video methods and user methods. The video methods of the XML API,
and in particular the
truveo.videos.getVideos method, encapsulate the basic functionality for submitting queries to the search engine
and retrieving a XML-formatted video search results. The video methods of the XML API can be used without requiring users to have an
AOL or AIM account.
The user methods of the XML API encapsulate functionality that allows individual
users to personalize an application to suit their interests. In order to use the user methods of the XML API, each user
must have a valid AOL or AIM screen name, and each user must sign in to his or her AOL or AIM account. Applications that leverage
these user methods must perform the necessary authentication for each user account. For more details on performing this authentication
